British trombone player Lew Davis was a jazz pionneer in Europe from the early 1920s to the mid-40s, performing with major orchestras led by Jack Hylton, Ray Noble, Lew Stone or Bert Ambrose. In 1936 he was offered an oppurtunity to record two tunes for trombone trio and rhythm section. the music is delightful, very well written for the trombone as well as challenging.

Listen here to a version recorded from this particular score by the trombone section of the Umlaut Big Band
