J.J. Johnson was of course a great trombone soloist, a great composer and also a very talented arranger for large to small groups.

“Undecided” was arranged here for his quintet, and performed on their very first album “J Is For Jazz”, released on Columbia in 1956. The swing classic is taken here at a medium-slow tempo and shows J.J.’s creativity and precision in writing for small band.
