This is transcribed for the original recorded version of Tadd Dameron’s classic, “Fontainebleau”. Written for his all-star octet (featuring, among others, Kenny Dorham, Cecil Payne and Sahib Shihab), this wonderful through-composed short suite showcases Dameron imaginative and skillful writing. A masterpiece!
